ThisDayTrivia FreeCell

Helpful hint: If playing from a phone or tablet, select "full screen mode full screen" mode from the main menu.

FreeCell is the thinking man's solitaire. All the card faces are displayed and it's up to you to find the solution.

ThisDayTrivia FreeCell uses the same 32000 card deals (numbered 1-32000) as the original Windows FreeCell game. All are solvable, except 11982. Games 32001 through 100,000 are the same as the later Windows versions, all of which are solvable.

Cards are dealt face-up into eight cascades, the first four have seven cards each and last four have six cards each.

The upper left four cells are FreeCells and can each hold one card of any value.

The upper right four cells are Foundations and are built up from ace to king by suit.

The top card of each cascade begins a tableau. Tableaux are built in descending card value with alternating colors.

If a cascade becomes empty, you can start a tableau on it with any available card as the base.

Any FreeCell card or top card of any cascade may be moved to build on a tableau, or moved to an empty FreeCell, or moved to an empty cascade, or moved to build on its Foundation.

Tableaus may be moved to build on existing tableaus, or moved to empty cascades. This is done by recursively placing and removing cards through intermediate locations. This can also be done automatically by clicking or dragging the base card of the tableaux. This is called a Supermove.

The game is won when all of the cards are in the Foundations.
